Now THIS is TV

Fifth-generation farmer Zach Johnson has become a bit of a TV star by sharing his daily experiences on YouTube through a channel called “MN Millennial Farmer.”

His well-produced episodes include high-quality footage from drones and cameras placed in multiple locations. But what makes the show is Johnson’s calm, clear and casually concise explanations of what’s happening as he manages a 2,500-acre crop farm 20 miles southwest of Alexandria, Minn.

It’s Americana in the 21st Century, and people are liking it: so far Johnson’s up to 215,000 subscribers on YouTube and 53,000 followers on Instagram.

This story from the Duluth News Tribune provides more details.
