Hibbing Aircraft Refurbisher to Expand

Midwest Aircraft Refinishing, which specializes in repainting and refurbishing single-engine composite airplanes (primarily those of Duluth-based Cirrus), received approval last week for a $600,000 loan from the Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board, according to the Duluth News Tribune.

The funds will be used by the company to install a new paint booth and create six to ten new jobs, nearly doubling its current workforce of 10. Both are badly needed as the company has a backlog of 13 months.
