Marotta Controls, through its electric motor division Motorfox, will expand its Chaska facility with support from a $220,000 Minnesota Investment Fund award. The company designs and manufactures mission‑critical motors and electro‑mechanical systems for aerospace, space and defense applications.
The $4.2 million project will upgrade the facility to accommodate additional employees and enhance capabilities in motor design, winding, analysis and testing. The expansion is expected to create 29 new jobs over the next three years, making it one of the region’s most significant recent investments in high‑tech manufacturing. DEED officials say the project reinforces Minnesota’s growing role in advanced engineering and defense‑related innovation.
